This term, the AMPA and AUSOLAN, in collaboration with the School, are once again launching a course specially designed for S6 and S7 students: “Survival Cooking.” This free training aims to prepare young people who are about to complete their school years to face university life with greater autonomy, especially when they will be directly responsible for their own nutrition and well-being.
Led by Vicente Alenda, Head Chef of the EEA, the course offers students basic yet essential life skills: how to cook simple, balanced, and safe meals, even when time or resources are limited.
The course consists of three two-hour sessions, usually held on Wednesdays from 16:30 to 18:30:
- Session 1: essential utensils, safety rules, and risk prevention.
- Session 2: simple recipes using only three ingredients, giving priority to vegetables and fresh produce.
- Session 3: homemade baking with quality ingredients as a healthy alternative to industrial pastries and sugary snacks.
At the end of the course, each participant will receive an official certificate of completion.
This initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration between the AMPA, the School, and AUSOLAN to provide an educational experience that goes beyond the academic curriculum.
With “Survival Cooking,” we want our students to discover that cooking is not only a practical necessity, but also a key skill for their present and future well-being.
