Dear families of the European School of Alicante,
We are pleased to inform you about the recent success of the EUREKA association in managing and donating lost items. On October 9th, after extensive collection efforts, EUREKA! returned to normal operations and made a significant donation of unclaimed lost items from the previous school year. In total, 11 boxes were donated containing:
235 sweatshirts/jumpers, 38 jackets/vests, 16 t-shirts, 17 caps/hats, 5 pants, 6 scarves, 5 gloves, 2 belts, 6 backpacks/bags, 17 lunch boxes, 13 water bottles.
We would like to thank the NGO INPAVI for their collaboration and support.
Thanks to the generous donation of these 11 boxes from the EUREKA group, INPAVI can deliver all these items to the children in Alicante who need them the most. INPAVI is currently addressing the basic needs (food, clothing, hygiene, toys, and education) of over 600 children from families living in poverty in Alicante.
The mission of INPAVI is to provide comprehensive assistance to foster social change and transformation for both those in need of help and those who wish to help, through holistic actions that enhance the inclusion and quality of life of families/individuals in situations of economic, family, social, personal, emotional, and spiritual need. INPAVI offers transparent alternatives and opportunities to society (citizens, entrepreneurs, institutions, etc.) to participate in comprehensive and supportive actions.
Additionally, it is important to highlight that this year the EUREKA team has fewer volunteers, which has led to a temporary reduction in service hours. However, we are excited about the arrival of new individuals who wish to join the team. As part of our integration process, we teach them our practices and procedures, ensuring that all new volunteers are prepared to collaborate effectively.
This school year, we have decided to revert to using stickers instead of a database for managing lost items to save time and be more efficient. If you are interested in joining the EUREKA team, feel free to visit us during our hours to learn more about our work:

- Thursday: 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM
- Friday: 8:45 AM – 9:15 AM
