At Eureka, we would like to close the year by reminding the entire school community of the importance of properly labelling all clothing and personal items belonging to students. Our storage space is very limited, and we are unable to keep unclaimed lost-and-found items for long periods of time.

For this reason, as communicated throughout the year, all unlabelled and uncollected items within the established timeframe were donated in November.

This year, the donation was made to CEIP Gastón Castelló, who kindly sent us a letter of gratitude that we would like to share with you. In their letter, they express their sincere appreciation for the generous donation of clothing, water bottles, lunch boxes, pencil cases, and other materials recovered by Eureka during the 2024/2025 school year.

The school highlights that Eureka’s work—recovering and giving a second life to lost items—is an admirable example of social commitment, sustainability, and solidarity. They also emphasize that this initiative not only prevents waste but transforms a simple gesture into a real opportunity to improve the lives of many children.

The letter further explains that many students at their school come from socio‑economically vulnerable backgrounds, and that donations like this have a direct and profound impact on their well‑being: they help ensure that students have the school supplies and clothing they need, which contributes to their physical well‑being, self‑esteem, and integration into school life.

CEIP Gastón Castelló also confirms that the school will not obtain any financial benefit from this donation. All items will be used exclusively to support students’ needs and encourage their full participation in school activities.

They especially thank Eureka for the care, dedication, and value given to each recovered item, noting that thoughtful actions like this strengthen the educational community and show that solidarity is a truly transformative force.

We share this message with all families to reinforce the importance of labelling personal items: it is the most effective way to avoid losses, ensure that each item can be returned to its owner, and continue supporting solidarity initiatives whenever appropriate.
