Each year, the EUREKA team collects hundreds of lost items from the hallways and playgrounds of the Primary cycle: water bottles, lunchboxes, winter jackets, jumpers, hats… even roller skates and rackets. Seeing this accumulation, the first reaction is one of surprise: how is it possible that so many things are lost?

We would like to focus on reusable bottles and lunchboxes. It is wonderful that families are choosing them to avoid the use of single-use plastics. However, when they get lost, all that good intention turns into incoherence: more plastic produced more money spent, and more waste generated.

We encourage all families to regularly check their children’s belongings, to label every item with their name, and above all, to talk with them about the importance of taking care of and keeping their things safe. A simple water bottle can accompany many years of games, outings and learning — if it doesn’t get lost along the way.

All of these bottles and lunchboxes from the 2024-25 school year shown in the photos, which have not been claimed or collected, will soon be donated.
