Dear families,

We would like to share with you the wonderful memories of the community day we experienced this past Saturday, February 7th.

What began as an ambitious vision from the AMPA for 2026 became a vibrant reality, thanks to the participation of approximately 100 members of our school community.

A perfect day

The weather gifted us a bright and sunny day, but our true ally was the rain from the previous afternoon. Thanks to it, the soil was perfectly damp, ensuring our pine trees and lavender plants found their new home in the best possible conditions.

What did we achieve together?

With the help of experts from the Alicante Renace Project, organised by the Enamorados de Alicante Association in partnership with Alicante City Council and the Valencian Regional Government, we turned the day into an active learning experience:

Reforestation: We planted native species, strengthening our local biodiversity.

Creative Workshops: Children (and the young at heart!) enjoyed building bird nests and feeders, ensuring that local wildlife also has a sanctuary.

Community Spirit: The closing picnic was the perfect moment to strengthen bonds between families from the different sections of the school.

«Watching our students connect with the earth and work as a team for a common goal is the best lesson in sustainability we can offer them.»

Below, we share a selection of photos that capture the energy of the day: the smiles, the teamwork, and the European School of Alicante’s commitment to the environment.

Thank you all for making it possible! We will continue working to ensure this is just the first of many shared days in nature.
