We are pleased to share that the outdoor library pilot project is now successfully underway in our school.
This initiative was launched by two Primary teachers, Meike Dziewas (P4DE) and Linda Hoffmann (P1FR), with the aim of nurturing a love of reading, highlighting the multilingual character of our school community, and promoting the responsible and sustainable use of resources. Families generously contribute by donating books, enriching this shared space for learning and enjoyment.
Since its launch in February, Primary pupils have been able to access the outdoor reading cabinets during break times, choose books in different languages independently, take them home to read and return them later, without a formal borrowing system. The response has been very positive, and enthusiasm for reading continues to grow.
We would like to sincerely thank all the families who have already donated books. Thanks to your support, the library is becoming a diverse, dynamic and enriching space for our children.
Next book donation date:
Monday, 2 March
8:30–8:45 am
Primary entrance
Please remember that donated books should be in good condition, suitable for Primary pupils, and include the donor’s full name written on the first page.
Thank you for continuing to support this educational initiative. Together, we are building an open, sustainable and shared reading culture.
