Welcome to "Elara's Stories"!

This new section is directly linked to one of the most wonderful projects to emerge from our school this year: the primary school playground library, lovingly set up by teachers Meike Dziewas (P4DE) and Linda Hoffmann (P1FR). A magical cupboard, looked after by Elara the owl, where books pass from hand to hand, from language to language, from family to family.

The fact is, this primary school playground library doesn’t just hold books: it also holds its own history. If you click on the image above, you can find out who Elara is in the first story that brings this space to life and launches our new newsletter section: «Elara’s Stories». Welcome!

After all, stories aren’t just read. They’re also written.

That’s why we want to open this space up to all the young writers in our community: if you have a story to tell — whether it’s an adventure, a mystery, a comedy, a horror story, or whatever you like — this is your corner. Every month we’ll publish a short story here by one of our pupils. Are you up for it?

Stories can be written in any language of the European Union and will always be published in their original language, accompanied by an English and Spanish version, so that the whole community can enjoy them.

There is only one rule: The story can be as short as you like, but it should not be longer than about 500 words.

Would you like to take part? Send your story to sostenibilidad@ampaescuelaeuropea.com

To kick off this corner, we’re sharing the story of Elara the Owl: Click on the picture of the owl!
