No More Bull is an original musical reimagining the myth of the Minotaur through the eyes of Ariadne. Set in a world where ancient myth collides with modern ideals, the narrative reframes Ariadne not as a passive figure, but as an empowered woman whose choices shape the fate of the tributes cast down to the labyrinth and the Minotaur within.  The story dives into the mythological conflict between the hero Theseus, celebrated as the founder of democracy, and the tyrannical King Minos a symbol of oppressive power. As Ariadne uncovers the truth she begins to question the myth’s glorification of patriarchal ideals and the societal structures that have perpetuated them.  The production explores themes of political autonomy, resistance, and the complexities of power through a dynamic score blending ancient and modern musical styles composed by London West End’s Corin Buckeridge and with catchy, memorable tunes that stay with audience members long after the performance. With innovative lighting design, No More Bull creates atmospheric scenes that evoke the twisting corridors of the labyrinth, symbolizing the psychological and political mazes we navigate today.  This compelling story is told through Spanish and English with a script written by Elissa Nicholson, lyrics by Deborah and Elissa Nicholson and choreography by Katie Mayfield.
