“Family Support Café” project

Dear families,

I am Kirstin Weber, representative of the German primary section of the school. I am contacting you in order to organize the first “Family Support Café” as a project of the Family Buddy working group. A meeting between families of children with specialized support.

I tell you my case. My children were both at the Learning support, and my daughter was particular in the special support. I often felt alone in this process, with little information and above all without a network of families in similar situations to mine. The school has made many improvements in this area recently, and on the part of the families we can further improve the situation of our kids by creating a network of exchange contacts between families. 

The idea is to organise a regular meeting to exchange ideas, ask questions, solve doubts, listen to other experiences, get extra support from each other.
