Sustainability has become one of the strategic priorities of all European Schools. The 2025–2029 Multiannual Plan, approved by the General Secretariat and the Board of Governors, establishes as a key goal moving toward a “Whole School Approach” to sustainability: a comprehensive approach that encompasses both pedagogical life and the organization and management of schools.

At the European School of Alicante, the AMPA aims to contribute to this effort through its Sustainability Working Group, made up of volunteer parents. Our goal is to support the school on this path, promoting initiatives that reduce our environmental footprint, encourage more responsible consumption, and create a school environment more consistent with current ecological challenges.

Our actions include awareness campaigns for families, collaboration with school management and staff on specific projects, and building links with broader sustainability networks within the European School system.
